During the course of history – over the last centuries – Rehbach has undergone many changes. It developed from an Alpine hut to a farmhouse, from a wine house to one of the top spots for relaxation seekers. The largest renovation in its history was planned by us. The upper floors of the old main building, from the 1960s will be removed and subsequently rebuilt in the style of the already existing new part – creating a harmonic unity. The original old „Stuben“ will be preserved in the new building and implemented into the construction works. Six new room categories will be generated, a new bar and lounge area, a “Stube” and some novelties in the panorama Spa area.

Six months of construction work were estimated for the realization of our project. We – the Barbist family – are especially proud of the local companies and their staff, helping us to fulfil our dreams, like the Tyrolean Architekturbüro Haid und Falkner, the Strabag branch office in Reutte, the Bavarian timber work company Hubert Schmidt, the Tyrolean carpentry Salzburger, the Tyrolean interior work company Wieland, the plumber Feuerstein in Reutte, the window maker Nessler in Reutte and the companies from the Tannheimer Tal EW Schattwald, Elektro Rief, Transporte Zitt and many more. We mainly used natural material, like, stone, wood and glass in combination with selected cloth and accessories (we will tell you more about that in the next blog).

If everything goes well, Hotel Rehbach will re-open in mid-August 2020. A new and complete house, will be waiting for our guests, with a diversified mixture of relaxation, tranquility, fine cuisine and spa.
